Hi! I’m Norman the Goldendoodle and I was born with one of the worst cases of hip displaysia Memphis vets have ever seen. The docs say I can be a happy three legged dog but I need an expensive surgery for my body to be able to help support me.
I have loving parents who will be there to take care of me but need some help to get this surgery! I promise to be a good boy for life.
Right now, everything is painful and I can’t play like a normal pup with my brother Rip.
Thank you for your support!
Details from the vet:
Norman has dysplasia on the really bad side (right side) which will be $4500-5000. Once we see how that works, there’s a possibility of the FHO surgery on the left side. I believe that is femoral head osteoectomy which is about $1100. With one side done, he’ll be a great 3 legged dog if the side fixed is stable. We have put him on pain meds (like naproxen), that he will likely always be on.
