Help Norman and His Family Through 2nd Degree Burn Recovery

Update- Norman made it to UCH Aurora burn unit last night around 7:00pm. My aunt and cousin were there waiting for him. They took him to recieve treatment right away. Jessica arrived around 10pm and they were able to see him. He is doing well. He is slowly being taken off sedation and will be taken off intubation this morning. Thank you all for the prays, thoughts and good vibes. We appreciate you all!

Hi, my name is Sydnee, and I never thought I would be writing something like this about my brother.

As some of you have seen/heard there was an explosion in Casper today involving my brother Norman. He has suffered severe burns to his hands and face. He is currently sedated and intubated and currently being life-flighted to Denver to receive specialized care in the burn unit. Their family car was lost in the explosion as well. At this moment, this is all the information we have, and the waiting and uncertainty have been absolutely heartbreaking.

If you know Norman, you know he is the goofiest guy you’ll ever meet. He’s the one who can make anyone laugh, even on their worst day. He is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. Norman is always there for his friends and family—no questions asked, no matter the time or situation. If you need him, he drops everything and shows up.

He is an incredible brother, uncle, father, and human being. His heart is bigger than anyone I know.

Norman has two small children who need their dad. He is their protector, their comfort, their safe place. Watching someone so strong, loving, and selfless go through this has been devastating for our entire family.

Norman will be out of work for a long time as he begins a long and difficult road to recovery. While his employer has generously offered to help cover gas and hotel expenses for the family during this time, there are still overwhelming financial burdens ahead. Medical bills, household bills, and everyday living expenses will continue while he is unable to work.

We are asking for help to support Norman and his family during this unimaginable time. Any donation—no matter how small—will help relieve some of the stress so they can focus on what truly matters: Norman’s healing and being there for his children.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this and keeping Norman and our family in your prayers. We are beyond grateful for the love, support, and kindness we have already received.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
