Help Norma Wheelock Get A Miracle Van

Our mom, Norma Wheelock, just found out she no longer has a way to leave the house. For 11 years her first miracle handicap van enabled her to get out and give hope to her community. But that van is now beyond repair and we want to make sure she can keep inspiring the world around her.
Our mom has been confined to a wheelchair for over 40 years due to Muscular Dystrophy, long outliving her life expectancy. Without the ability to leave her chair, she has relied on her wheelchair-accessible van for everything from simple shopping trips, to visiting her grandkids, to cheering up residents at a local nursing home.
THE GOAL
Let’s make Norma’s 70th birthday on May 26th truly special with a ‘new set of wheels’!
THE COST
The lowest cost for a used handicap van is $30K and a new one runs around $70K. We’re hoping to get her something in the middle for $50K. The goal is to get something safe, in good shape, that won’t cause a lot of headaches in the near future. We would love her to have a reliable handicap van to continue her quality of life. Any extra money would go towards future maintenance and upkeep of the van.
