Berks Homes is raising money to support our coworker, Norma, who is battling cancer for the second time.

Norma is a five-year breast cancer survivor, but sadly, Norma’s cancer has returned. Cancer is always a formidable opponent, but a cancer diagnosis during Covid is exponentially more challenging. Covid restrictions at the hospitals and medical offices forced Norma’s current diagnosis to be delayed and even now continues to put roadblocks between Norma and her treatment plan.

Norma’s cancer is metastatic and is in her liver, lungs, bones, and some lymph nodes but this is by NO MEANS hopeless. She has two amazing doctors:

• Dan Sotirescu, MD “Dr. Dan” Cancer Care of York, PA

• Paul Faust, ND Chesapeake Natural Health Center, Towson, MD

Dr. Dan and Dr. Faust have a complimentary working relationship and together they have numerous treatment options for Norma to achieve the goal of remission.

Dr. Dan is her primary oncologist. He’s smart, compassionate and is on top of cutting-edge cancer treatments. Dr. Faust has traveled the world lecturing about natural solutions for treating cancer. He will come alongside Dr. Dan by following Norma’s blood work and other markers to arm her with the natural protocols ensuring that her body is as strong as possible during chemo and radiation treatments. Every single edge matters when you’re fighting for your life.

As you can imagine, being able to hurl every possible weapon available at cancer has costly out of pocket ramifications. It shouldn’t be this way, but insurance companies have already delayed or outright denied life-saving tests and treatments costing Norma valuable time. As Norma’s co-workers, we here at Berks Homes want to help Norma remove any financial roadblocks to enable her to get the care she desperately needs.
