For those that know us, our pets are our babies. Just as if you would do anything for your child, we would do anything for our pet. Nori is our first cat that Jeri and I have owned together. We got him from a coworker of Jeri's in March of 2024. He has been through a hurricane, a freeze, several vacations, and the addition of a brother. Nori has not met a battle he has not been able to overcome.

Until, one day he began to limp on his back leg. After several vet visits, medications, and X-rays, the diagnosis came back. Nori has been diagnosed with Spontaneous Capital Physeal Fracture. This is a genetic birth defect that we had no way of knowing about until his limp. The joint inside of his hip never fully developed. What did develop was extremely weak. Through normal cat day-to-day life, this joint has become fractured. Nori now must have surgery to remove the damaged joint. Nori not only needs it on one leg but may in fact need it on both of his back legs. We have no way of knowing until surgery day.

This injury has already incurred us hundreds in vet bills. His surgery is estimated to be $3800. We now ask for the assistance of our friends, family, neighbors, friends of friends, and anyone who can help. We need support to save our baby's life. Without this necessary medical procedure, we would have to put him down. This in no way, shape, or form is what we want. We humbly ask for any donations or support that can be directed our way.
