My name is Nora. I’m 62 years old, disabled, and recently diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis—a serious lung disease among many many other illnesses that have left me unable to work for years. Until now, Medicaid helped me get the care I needed. But I’ve recently lost Medicaid, Section 8 housing, and food stamps all at once. Now, I can’t get treatment for my illness, and I’m facing homelessness.
Because of my health, I can’t work. I’ve always been independent, and all my life I’ve tried to help others in need. Whether it was family, neighbors, or even strangers, I’ve always believed in giving back. Asking for help is not easy for me—it’s the last thing I ever wanted to do. But I have nowhere else to turn.
I need help to secure a safe apartment, cover moving expenses and moving truck motels etc until I find an apartment, and afford basic needs like food, utilities, and medication while I try to reapply for public assistance. Any amount you give will make a real difference in helping me get through this critical time.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean more than I can ever put into words.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
