Help Nora Knock Out Cancer!
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for my 20-month-old granddaughter, Nora, and her family. On September 24th, 2024, Nora was diagnosed with leukemia, a devastating shock for her parents, Kayla and Kyle, and her brother, Nolan.
Just as things were looking up, Kayla had returned to work after a difficult back injury that left her unable to lift either of her kids for the past 6 months. Nolan was about to start preschool, and Kyle was finally able to rejoin the workforce after being a stay-at-home, "doing everything!" dad. This news turned their world upside down.
After receiving the diagnosis, Kayla and Nora immediately drove 3 hours to UCSF Children's Hospital in Oakland, CA. It was here that Nora began her battle, receiving treatment just hours later. Kayla has remained by her side, while Kyle is commuting back and forth to keep things as normal as possible for Nolan at home. Unfortunately, since Kayla had just returned to work 3 weeks ago, she doesn't qualify for family leave.
We are creating this fundraiser hoping to ease their financial burden during this incredibly challenging and uncertain time. Also, to help as much as possible from miles away on the East Coast.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
With love from their family,
Nana, Chief, Gigi, Papa, Uncles - Scott, John, Brett & Justin, Aunties - Katrina, Bryce, and Tara, along with many cousins!
