Help Nora B Receive Life-Saving Medical Treatment
Donation protected
A happy, spunky two-year-old, Nora Bagnall brings joy to everyone she meets. To know her is to love her. And, today, Nora and her family need our love.
This page is dedicated to helping Nora, her mother Michaela, and her father Mel, receive the funds they need to allow Nora to continue to receive life-saving medical care.
In June 2022, at the age of one, Nora was diagnosed with Hyperinsulinemia - a rare and life-threatening disorder that causes her body to produce an excess of insulin, resulting in dangerously low blood sugar levels. Uncontrolled, this can cause increased heart rate, seizures, developmental delays, brain damage, and even death.
Over the past nine months, Nora has been receiving life-saving treatment at both Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She requires 24-hour monitoring from her parents, daycare provider, and medical professionals. She's administered life-saving medication multiple times a day. She has numerous doctor appointments with specialists each week. And, she's currently at risk of having to undergo a procedure that would result in having a tube inserted to better support medication administration.
She's endured countless hospital stays and suffers from serious and ongoing side effects related to the medications required to treat her condition. In addition, Nora's amazing and hardworking parents - Michaela and Mel - have been forced to take unpaid time off from work while facing mounting medical expenses as well as expenses associated with traveling to Philadelphia for treatment on a regular basis.
This GoFundMe campaign is our opportunity to show love and support for Nora and her family in the same way she gives love to everyone she meets. Please consider making a donation to help make this challenging time a little more manageable for Nora, Michaela, and Mel. Please also consider sharing with your friends, family, and neighbors.
