Help Nora, Avery's Cat, Get Life-Saving Surgery

Hello friends,

As many of you know, my partner Avery suddenly and unexpectedly passed away the beginning of this year on January 6th. If you knew Avery, you know how much his sweet cats mean to him.

After his passing, I took in and now care for both his beloved fur babies Maki and Nora.

Unfortunately I recently found out that Nora, his first ever cat whom he adopted as a kitten, has feline stomatitis and will have to undergo a costly surgery to have all of her teeth removed as recommended by multiple veterinary professionals. This surgery will greatly enhance her quality of life and take away any of the pain that she has been experiencing because of this disease. Nora is in pain and has a very hard time eating and grooming herself. Nora is only around 2 years old and more than one vet has assured me that this surgery will lead her to living long healthy and happy life.

I already struggle a lot financially -- after Avery's passing I was not working for a few months and my current job does not pay well.

I created this fundraiser in the hopes that any of Avery's friends and loved ones, as well as any of my friends and loved ones could help in any way with Nora's surgery.

Anything you can contribute at all would help us out more than you know and even if you can't contribute any amount, I would really appreciate anyone that shares this fundraiser and passes the information along.

For anyone that needs more information, stomatitis is a complex and painful disease that leads to severe inflammation of the mouth. The cause is unknown, but the pain it causes cats is tremendous. The current recommended treatment is partial or full-mouth tooth extraction surgery. While this may seem to be a drastic measure, it is currently the best way to achieve substantial and long-term comfort for affected cats. This can be an extensive surgery and highly expensive which is why I just felt like I needed to create this fundraiser -- I am raising as much of my own money as I can but I genuinely need as much help as I can get.

Avery loved these cats more than anything and I know he would also be so incredibly thankful to anyone that can help.

I have attached the surgery estimates from the vet and multiple pictures of Nora, who most of you have seen and know.

All funds raised will go directly to Nora's surgery and any remaining funds will be spent on things she may need to help with her recovery after the surgery.
