Help Noors family survive this war
Donation protected
Hello
My name is Roisin El Cherif. I'm an Irish-Palestinian artist in Ireland. I am fundraising on behalf of my cousin Noor and his family (3 children, wife and 2 elderly parents) for emergency relief.
Originally this was to be a fundraising campaign to evacuate them from Gaza but with the borders closed, war everywhere and lack of food and water, this fundraiser is now for this family to survive these coming days, months... Please let this nightmare be over soon.
In January the family home in Khan Younis was targeted and destroyed, as were others in the neighbourhood. Resulting in Noors two nephews going to hospital with injuries (they are alive hamdoulllah) and the whole family becoming displaced.
They became homeless and were displaced to tents in Rafah. Adham is 6 years old, Erkan is 4 years old and baby Alaa is 5 months old. Noor's wife Manar, gave birth to Alaa prematurely in February. I spoke about baby Alaa at the IPSC National Demonstration in Dublin. Alaa was born premature, and was in an incubator for the first part of his life. He has been in and out of various hospitals in Rafah/Khan Younis. Depending on which hospitals are still running. Which are still functioning.
Noor and the family have been living in tents in Rafah since January. Last week, those tents were then bombed.
Thank God they were elsewhere.
But all their remaining belongings were destroyed.
The struggle now is to survive.
Getting food and basic necessities is increasingly difficult in Gaza. Famine has set in. Everyday is a test, what is available to eat, and how to get it. Food, water and shelter are at extortionate prices at the market. There is aid, but not enough. And everywhere is unsafe.
Because of baby Alaas condition and the stress that Manar has been under, they have been looking for milk, baby formula and nappies. Attached here is a list of the cost of survival goods in Gaza. For example, a tent costs $500-$1000. Nappies are $30/pack.
I have attached photos of Noor and family during happier times, photos of baby Alaa and how he has progressed, their destroyed house, and now their destroyed tent.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any donation or contribution in helping them survive this. The situation is desperate.
No one wants to leave their homes. But there are no homes to go back to and the Genocide and anxiety of everyday has become overbearing for Noor and the family.
The Egyptian border is still charging Palestinians close to 7k-10k per person to leave. For now the borders are closed, and these donations are to survive.
He wishes for his family, his children to leave to safely even if he can not. To have a future.
Noor has asked me to help save his family.
I thank you deeply.

*All funds collected by me here will go directly to the family*
