Noor International School: Building Brighter Futures in Badardi
The Mission of Noor International School
The word Noor means “Light.” Our mission is to inspire every child to recognize their inner light, honor it, and grow with it. Established in December 2024, Noor International School provides education to 125 children (ages 3 to 12) from Nursery and Play to Grade 4. For many of our students, this school is their first-ever classroom—a gateway to a world of possibility.
The Vision of Mubashir Choudhury
Founded by my father, Mubashir Choudhury, Noor International School is the result of his lifelong dedication to his home Village of Badardi, Nabigonj, Bangladesh. He is committed to creating opportunities for growth and learning, ensuring that the next generation has the tools to dream bigger than their circumstances.
What We Have Achieved So Far
In just our first year, we have seen remarkable growth:
- Literacy & Confidence: Children who had never attended school are now reading, writing, and speaking English with confidence.
- Holistic Support: Students receive snacks and essential support so they can focus entirely on learning.
- Character Building: We introduced the “Stories of the Prophets” program, teaching moral lessons and Islamic values that guide our students in faith and compassion.
Priority Project: Security & Stability
To keep our students safe and our "light" burning, our primary goal is to complete a major renovation:
- Perimeter Concrete Wall & Metal Gate: We are building a permanent concrete wall around the school grounds and installing a reinforced metal gate. In our rural setting, these are essential for student safety, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting the school’s resources.
How Your Support Helps
Beyond these structural needs, your donations ensure our 125 students and 6 teachers can thrive:
- $60 – Covers the salary for one teacher for an entire month.
- $125 – Provides school supplies, books, uniforms, health exams and activities for one student for the entire year.
- General Support – Funds also go toward snacks, special events, maintenance, and future expansion projects.
Transparency & The Financial Process
Because we are a family-run grassroots project and not yet a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, We handle the funds personally to ensure they reach Badardi directly:
- Status: All funds raised will go directly toward supporting this effort. Please note that donations are not tax-deductible.
- The Relay: All contributions are received through a dedicated account, and 100% of the proceeds are sent directly to the school’s account in Bangladesh via TapTap Send.
- The Proof: We will post regular Updates here and on Instagram with photos/videos of the students and construction progress.
