Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am fundraising for Noor Najjar, a young Palestinian woman, who yearns to pursue an education and rebuild her life in Egypt.
Last October, Noor was severely injured in a bombing during the Beit Al-Hassi Massacre, that took the lives of 50 people, including her beloved sister, Doha. Noor was rushed to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis where she remained on oxygen for three weeks and was not expected to survive. The doctors were unable to treat her injuries as rocket fragments were deeply embedded in her legs, arms, and face. She and her mother were then transferred to the Red Crescent Hospital in Egypt where she could receive the remainder of her treatments.
Thankfully Noor survived her injuries and can walk again. However, she remains in Cairo, Egypt with her mother, separated from the rest of her family until further notice.
With no clear indication of when the border will reopen, they find themselves struggling to afford housing, groceries, and other essential expenses, and despite the hardships they face, Noor's unwavering desire to continue her education remains at the forefront of her mind. Her circumstances pose significant barriers to accessing formal education and basic human needs. However, with the help of the GoFundMe community, I believe we can help Noor live comfortably and pursue her academic career in these trying times.
Please read Noor's wish below:

Hello, I wish peace all over the world... My name is Nour Al-Najjar.
I left the Gaza Strip after the October 7 war befell upon us. I left with the wounded and injured. I am now in the sister country of Egypt where I was receiving treatment. After receiving treatment for over 5 months, I was completely cured thanks to God. I walk and move and go out, but I want to complete my dream and my dream is not complete without your help.
I am now 19 years old. I finished high school but was not able to join university last year because of the war and the severe injuries I suffered from. Thank God my physical and mental health has become better, and I feel ready to continue my journey in the sciences at a university. But the universities in Egypt are expensive and I do not have enough money to live and study so I decided to start this campaign to receive funds to live comfortably and complete my academic journey.
To study at the College of Commerce and Business for four years is $14,000. To rent a house for that time is $7200. Personal expenses may be about $100 per month so we would need $4800. In total, we will need $26,000 to live comfortably and for me to pursue education.
I hope you will help me by sharing and donating to my campaign. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you.
