I worked for Nona for a few years in high school and she’s been a best friend to me ever since. I can’t imagine my childhood without her snowcones and now I can’t imagine my adulthood without her friendship! Recently, the machine she uses to make her ice broke down. To entirely replace the machine will cost upwards of $8000 but to just replace a part will be at least $2000. Nona had to let all of her current workers go as well as open the building up on Sundays in order to save up for the cost of a new machine. I thought to myself- if South Bossier loves this woman as much as I do, surely we could all come together and help her out!
