Help Nomusa Complete Her Masters in Sustainable Systems
Donation protected
My name is Nomusa Mguni. I am reaching out as I work toward completing the final requirements of my Master’s degree in Sustainable Systems at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York.
This journey has been transformative, taking me from Zimbabwe, to the forefront of global Sustainability innovation. Overcoming financial, personal, and systemic challenges, I have relied on scholarships, determination, and the support of mentors and loved ones to reach this point.
I have successfully completed my coursework, but I now face a significant hurdle: funding part of my tuition and accommodation rental expenses as I do my Capstone research over the summer. My research is a practical application of the knowledge I have gained in sustainable energy and environmental perspectives, aiming to help industries and communities adopt climate-sensitive practices.
Completing this Capstone is essential for me to obtain my degree and advance a career dedicated to environmental stewardship and community empowerment. I appreciate RIT for providing part of my tuition, laboratory facilities and consumables required for the research, but I have to source funds for the balance of tuition and rent.
Due to unforeseen financial hardship, I am unable to meet part of the costs for tuition and living expenses for May through August 2025. Your support will help me cross the finish line, allowing me to complete my studies and use my skills to mentor and uplift other women from marginalized backgrounds.
Any contribution or sharing of my fundraiser will make a meaningful difference and bring me closer to making a positive impact in the world.
