Help Noma Recover After Hit & Run Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Noma. On February 24, I was walking across the street because I had the signal, when a silver colored Scion made a right turn, struck me, and kept driving away. Felonious activities. I was very shaken but was walking around with only a slight limp. I didn’t manage to catch the license. Unfortunately, the witnesses who came up to me afterward didn’t see the license either.
I got x-rays done in the ER and was lucky enough to have sustained only an abrasion and bruises. God/the angels/ancestors/the universe/all the above were looking out. While I’m very grateful for how everything turned out, they still haven’t caught the driver and I am now finding myself responsible for having to pay the medical bills from the tests run, X-rays, and medication. I also had to take almost 3 weeks off of work because, while I didn’t break any bones, I needed to heal from the impact. I am still reeling from the whole thing because who just gets hit by a vehicle?? (A surprising amount of people, I’m learning) and now I’m just trying to recover the funds I lost because of the accident.
As a millennial, the hits seem to keep coming (sometimes literally) but I try to keep pushing through. I have been using my millennial style sense of humor to get me through. Very grateful to those who have been a tremendous help so far. My roommate even chopped veggies for me when I was determined to make soup. My community is helping me through this and with your donations and support, I am glad to, even if briefly, have you be a part of it too. It may seem small, but because it’s been rough (considering how much of a close call it was), it is not a small thing to me at all and I greatly appreciate you.
