Our sister Nolawit Melese is a 21 year old from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She serves the church of Debre Mewi St. Michael's as a spiritual singer (zemari) and a peer leader. Nolawit is also a psychiatry student in college. A year ago, she was diagnosed with Rheumatic heart disease, which is a chronic heart condition where an inflammation damages the heart valves, causing them to become narrowed (stenosis) and leaky (regurgitation). Right now, two of her valves have failed and one is dysfunctional
An attempt was made to reverse the narrowing but was not successful. Now Nolawit is in critical condition and the only way to save her life is to get a heart valve replacement surgery. However, since the money requested for this surgery is more than 1,000,000 Ethiopian birr, we (her family and friends) are raising money for her treatment. We desperately need your help. Please help us save this young lady's life with whatever donation you can make. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
