God is so good and today is a great day for a miracle!!!
As many of you have heard our sweet, spicy 4 year old (5 on Sunday 11/07) is in critical condition at Stanford Children’s Center and is in liver failure. And no they have not uncovered the ‘why’? It’s a mystery that demands action now.
17 days ago Nolan made a simple statement of “Mommy my tummy hurts”. As a Mom, “ok bud let’s make sure we are drinking lots of water and try and poop”. - Pooping is the answer to so many things, isn’t it?!
A few days went by, he was full of energy as usual, but still complaining on and off about his “tummy ache”.
Fast forward to Monday 10/25 Nolan woke and was sick, along with jaundice.
11 days later we find ourselves in the most surreal and heartbreaking place watching Nolan as he fights for his life and instead of Legos for his birthday, now asking for a Liver.
11/03/2021 Nolan was officially placed on the liver transplant list. Because of the severity of his condition and how fast things are moving, he was put at the top of the list (blessing!!). The next morning Nolan slipped into critical condition & we were told “we believe we have time, we just don’t know how much”. The urgency for Nolan to receive a transplant went from the doctors saying, “we can and will be picky to insure he gets the best liver for him if he needs a transplant” - to -> “we need a liver & if a liver is offered we will take what we can get”.
God has been ever so undeniably present and loving as His word promises throughout the last 11 days. The blessings, angels, love and support, both humanly and spiritually, we continue to experience have been constant for us and we are so grateful in so many ways, and for so many reasons … that you never really want to be.
We thank you friends and family for your faithful prayers and support. We are praying & believing today for a miracle & the gift of a new liver for Nolan. We are praying for the family that we are believing will be providing Nolan another birthday! ❤️
