I’m raising funds for NOLA Cat Lounge, my new small business and rescue-focused cat lounge here in New Orleans. I created this space to be a safe, welcoming place where people can spend time with adoptable cats, support rescue efforts, and help more cats find loving homes. We recently had to make the very difficult decision to temporarily close after discovering cases of ringworm among cats connected to the lounge. As soon as I became aware of the situation, affected cats were removed, and we began working closely with our rescue partners and veterinary professionals. We are following their guidance and doing everything we can to clean, disinfect, treat, and monitor before reopening. Being transparent with our community matters deeply to me, and I would never knowingly put guests or animals at risk.

Closing is the right thing to do, but it has been incredibly hard for such a new business. While we are closed, most of our normal income has stopped, but rent, utilities, cat care, cleaning supplies, and other daily operating expenses continue. We also need to replace furniture, cat supplies, and other items that cannot be safely disinfected. Your support will help cover lost revenue during this closure, intensive cleaning and disinfecting costs, replacement of unsafe items, ongoing care for the cats, and the basic expenses needed to keep NOLA Cat Lounge going. Every donation, share, wishlist purchase, and kind word truly helps. If you are able to support us, thank you for helping us get through this setback, reopen safely, and continue doing what we love most: helping rescue cats find their people and creating something special for New Orleans.
