Hello,
I am Noémie, a 33 years old french trans woman of asian descent. I am currently facing threats of eviction from my transphobic landlord (who is my uncle). Over 6 years now, I am renting his house that's generally unsafe to life in. Due to among many things doors and windows that do not close, exposed wires, several rooms without electricity and several others code violations (11 in total). He refuses to do any of the mandatory repairs unless I leave the house. Because of the state of the house, I got my housing welfare removed and struggle to both pay rent, bills (the most excessive is the gas bill due to having to heat a house with windows and doors that don't close) and feed myself with only disability welfare as income.
Due to the state of the house, I am confined to live only in my bedroom.
I am searching for a new place for months now, but due to only having disability welfare to survive, most prospective landlord refuses to rent to me as I don't have a permanent contract. With the incoming winter, I need to move out both for my own safety and the health of my house cat, Tropico as soon as possible. Tropico, who is already a very nervous cat, is also lashing out due to the preparation for a move.
I need a total of 1400€ to move to a new place, covering the first month of rent, the garantee deposit and paying for the eventual move, as I can't rely on a transphobic family.
Due to how expensive my energy bills are, even a 600€/month appartment will end up being cheaper than my current place.
