As some of you already know, I'm getting gender-confirming top surgery in January 2019. For those of you unfamiliar, this is considered a reconstructive surgery to make my outside body a more true representation of me. I have intense gender dysphoria (you may have heard this described as "being born in the wrong body"), and I've been binding my chest to help alleviate those feelings for the past few years. However, binding is painful, impermanent, and dangerous long-term. Getting a double mastectomy will enable me to recognize myself in the mirror, and not feel like my own body is a costume I'm forced to wear every day.

I'm asking for help with some of the costs, especially since I won't be able to work full-time during the early stages of recovery. If you're able, your help with this would mean the world to me.
