My name is Noel and I was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. I can’t work throughout this treatment so I’m hoping I can get some help from my friends to get through at least the first 4 months of making minimum payments and keeping the utilities on. I’ve applied for SS disability, but was told the review process takes 3-6 months.

I have surgery to remove the 18cm mass from my sigmoid on 7-17 and will be in the hospital for a little. I may have to have a colostomy bag for a while because the area above the mass is distended and the surgeon isn’t sure he will be able to connect the 2 areas after resection. I’m hopeful this was caught early enough to just do a couple surgeries at most, but won’t have that info until after the first surgery. I will keep everyone updated as I get more info. Pathology stated the mass has gone into surrounding tissue and is cancer.
