We’ve created this space to support Noel as he continues his journey with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) and recent stroke.

Many of you know Noel as a man of deep strength, kindness, and quiet humor. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he carried his sense of service into civilian life as a dedicated JROTC instructor in Buncombe county for 20 years, inspiring countless students with lessons about leadership, discipline, and respect. He and his beloved wife, Alicia, have celebrated over 51 years of marriage — a testament to enduring love, faith, and partnership. Together, they continue to face this chapter with courage and grace, along with their loyal beagle Watson. Your messages, prayers, and love mean the world and help lift his spirits each day.

While they continue to focus on treatment and healing, the journey has brought many challenges—especially with travel to medical appointments between Asheville and Durham, keeping up with home needs, and modifying the house to accommodate necessary medical devices.

We’ve set up this fund to help ease some of these burdens so Noel can focus fully on recovery. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
