I am a soon to be married mom of a four-year-old, and this year has been incredibly challenging for my family. Right before Thanksgiving, I was laid off from my job, and soon after, my car broke down due to a malfunctioning instrument cluster. I had no choice but to junk it, and since then, getting by has been a daily struggle and I’ve been doing everything I can—donating plasma and taking on private cleaning jobs—to keep us afloat. Just today, we were blessed to be accepted for a new job, but without a car, we have no way to get there.

The holidays have been especially hard, not being able to provide for my daughter the way we want to. I can’t even take my four year old to her kindergarten class because the bus schedule conflicts with our work hours.

Having a reliable car would change everything for us. It would mean I could take my daughter to school, get groceries, donate plasma, get myself and my husband to work, and rebuild my small cleaning business, which crashed after I lost my car.
