Help Noah's Family Recover from the Eaton Fire

Donation protected
My name is Keith, and I have been close friends with Noah's mom for close to 45 years. Noah and his family sheltered me in their loving home for nearly a year during the pandemic, during which time they also provided crucial support for me while I received a cochlear transplant- a transformative event. Their home gave me comfort and security; they gave me compassion and love. My heart is broken for them, and I am starting this campaign to give back a fraction of the support they gave me.

Imagine being 11 years old and losing everything you’ve ever known as home. That’s what happened to Noah and his family. Noah’s Altadena home was destroyed in the Eaton Fire. It has been difficult to keep everyone updated and so many want to help. This page was set up to share information and help Noah transition to a new home.

Just days ago, Noah and his parents returned from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to celebrate his parents’ 30th wedding anniversary. They had traveled to meet his dad’s extended family for the first time. Their homecoming, however, turned into a nightmare when flames formed in the hills above their neighborhood. There was only time to stop home for their two beloved dogs and to try to locate some important paperwork in the darkness of the blackout before quickly evacuating their Altadena home.

All the tangible evidence of Noah’s young life was left behind. By the next morning, their home—along with much of their neighborhood—was reduced to ashes.

This wasn’t just a house. It was the beating heart of their family.

Noah’s parents bought their Altadena home in 2009 after living in the Pasadena area since 1997. They lovingly restored and expanded it to create a warm, welcoming space for their growing family. It was here that Noah came home as a newborn in 2013, where he took his first steps, celebrated birthdays, and made countless memories. It was more than a structure—it was a lifetime of cherished moments that are now lost.

While they are profoundly grateful for their lives, the loss of their home and the close-knit community around it is a devastation that will take a very long time—and a lot of help—to rebuild. Right now, Noah’s family is facing the overwhelming challenge of figuring out where to live and how to start over. All of his father’s art supplies, tools, and equipment were destroyed, robbing him- for now- of his ability to work.

Consider for a moment all the little things we use during our daily lives that we hardly ever think about. Imagine the challenge of preparing a simple meal or doing your typical morning routine. These items accumulate over time, coloring in the contours of a home, yet we rarely notice their importance until they’re suddenly gone. It’s incredibly overwhelming to even think about making a list of all those things when you’re starting from scratch and your main task to is to secure some clothing and short- and long-term housing. Let’s help make this process just a little easier for them.

We are asking for your help to support Noah and his family during this unimaginably difficult time. Your contribution—no matter the size—will go directly towards helping them find stability, rebuild their lives, and recover from this heartbreaking loss.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. It would mean the world to me and to them. Together, we can give Noah and his family hope for a brighter future.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ❤️
