Noah and his wife Jessica have just welcomed their baby into the world, but their journey has been anything but easy. Jessica had to undergo an emergency c-section at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia, and their baby needed to be revived at birth, spending several days in the NICU before finally coming home. At home, they were looking forward to settling in as a family of four, with their two-year-old son excited to meet his new sibling. Just as they were adjusting, Noah began to experience a severe GI hemorrhage. He was rushed to Baylor Scott South Campus, where doctors ran tests and quickly decided to transfer him by ambulance to a larger hospital in Dallas. There, they discovered a torn artery in his descending colon that required emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. Noah received multiple transfusions and, thankfully, is now home and stable. However, the challenges didn’t end there. Noah had just started a new job, and his insurance coverage hadn’t kicked in yet due to a required waiting period. His previous employer had gone bankrupt, leaving him in a gap between coverages. Now, this young family is facing a mountain of medical bills, with only Jessica and the baby’s care covered by insurance. As the primary provider, Noah was out of work for a month, making this financial burden even heavier. The funds raised will go directly to paying off these medical bills, helping Noah, Jessica, their two-year-old son, and their new baby recover and move forward. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a real difference for this family. A big thank you in advance to everyone who can help them get back on their feet.
