Im Angela, and I happen to come involved with this situation with Noah and his beloved bird, Oscar by happenstance. Noah was the proud owner of Oscar, whom he adopted. Like many people Noah fell into some hard times, mentally, physically, emotionally and personally. Noah fell into a deep depression, during this time, he lost his family, his job, and almost his life. While he was seeking help for the depression. The mother of his children, and his ex, gave his prized macaw away to a rescue. By her own statements, this was done in spite. She refused to tell him where she sent Oscar, even after his treatment was completed. When Noah was done with his treatment, he set out on a mission to find his bird. He found out that his bird, had been surrendered to a rescue in Western South Carolina, and was subsequently adopted out. The new adopter after 2 years felt she could no longer care for the birds, and in turn surrendered them to the current rescue they are with, Majestic Wings Rescue in Cassatt, SC.

Noah has reached out to Majestic Wings Rescue, since December and been met with nothing but hostility in attempting to get Oscar back. Myself, along with several others have attempted to get Audrey to return Oscar to Noah. No avail. Audrey has made a statement that she will return Oscar in return for financial renumeration. Even with this, we are unsure she will actually return Oscar to him, but we are doing everything in our power to help Noah overcome this obstacle and be reunited with Oscar. We are asking for money above and beyond what Audrey has stated is needed to return him, because each day she adds on another boarding fee, and she's since added another vet visit to the tally. Audrey could easily give back the bird, and ask for vet costs back, but she is attempting to make this as close to impossible for Noah as she can. Bird Community, lets work together to get Noah reunited with his bird!!!
