Hi everyone. My name is Noah. I’m 23 years old and I lost everything I own. I live in the mountains in Virginia. We recently had a very bad storm come through, and it caused the basement of my parents' house (where I live) to flood with 5 and a half feet of water. Our insurance company doesn’t cover “contents,” i.e., everything I lost. They only cover things related to the house’s structural integrity. I was hesitant to start a GoFundMe, but after being pressured by everyone I know, I finally caved. The damages, for just the things I own, were around $13,000. The goal is $5,000.
