Noah needs a Wheelchair Van

Hi! My name is Lisa. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my incredible and resilient son, Noah.

Noah and his twin brother were born at 32 weeks, and at three days old, Noah suffered a pulmonary hemorrhage, which resulted in a diagnosis of cerebral palsy as well as other complex medical conditions that have worsened over the years.

In 2023, Noah experienced a second rare esophageal tear which resulted in a spiral of emergent life-threatening medical complexities which changed the life of our family forever.

Noah requires 24-hour, around-the-clock medical care and when I lost my job during his lengthy hospitalization, we made the decision as a family that I would stay home with him and provide that nursing care.

Due to Noah's dependence upon his wheelchair and the extra equipment that we are required to carry for him as a Tracheostomy dependent child our family's 12-year-old non accessible minivan is no longer able to transport him safely. Each of Noah’s medical appointments are two hours away from our home one way, and we have to rent a van for each one.

We are hoping to raise enough money for at least a down payment on a wheelchair transport van which is very costly. These vans are expensive, and insurance does not offer assistance. The cost of a van can be upwards of $80,000, which, for our family on one income, is not feasible.
