Help Noah Attend Prestigious NSLC Program at UC Berkeley

Hi, I know some of you already know me but for those of you who do not, I am Noah Chaidez. I am a sophomore, member of the National Society of High School Scholars and my current GPA is a 4.3. I’m excited to share that I’ve been nominated and accepted to the NSLC program for Engineering and I chose UC Berkeley as my location for this summer’s program to represent my high school. The universities they provided included Duke, John Hopkins (which is already interested in me when I graduate), University of Michigan, University of Oxford, and Yale. I picked UC Berkeley because it is one of the top Engineering Universities. This is an incredible opportunity for my personal and professional growth. However, I need some help to make it happen. I'm taking initiative to set up this fundraiser myself in order to help cover my expenses which are much needed. I feel like I should do this as an act of leadership and self-responsibility that contributes to part of the meaning of this incredible organization. Therefore, I would like to share some more information about the program before you make your decision.
Now you may be wondering, what are the NSLF and NSLC?
The National Student Leadership Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational organization devoted to preparing outstanding high school students for future careers. The National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) this year will take place on the campuses of 13 top universities across the United States, Canada, and England. For over 35 years, only a select group of students leaders get to attend the NSLC and I am one of them! It will be a unique experience with hands-on professional career designed programs. It will provide the chance for me to explore my passion, which is to own my business in field of engineering with also developing new ground breaking inventions. I will get to live and learn on the college campus; interact with my peers from across the U.S. and around the world.
Upon completion of the program I will be awarded with a Letter of Recommendation, Academic Transcript, and a Certificate of Achievement. I will also be participating in the additional program from The American University to earn college credits.
The expenses include tuition for the NSLC and The American University program which alone is $5,199 but includes housing, on-campus meals, course materials, academic expenses, trips, tours, activities, and off-campus transportation. Travel, laundry, and off-campus meals are not included in the tuition. I am hoping to raise $5,999 which is so much, I truly know. The cost is huge but the experiences I'll be able to be a part of and the knowledge I will gain from this will be unbelievable! Any support would be greatly appreciated! Even a small donation can make a big difference in helping me meet my goals!
Thank you so much for considering donating to help support the growth of my future!
