Help Noah Chase His Dream

Hello! My name is Noah White and I am a senior at Slippery Rock University, double majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Education. I have been singing for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until my junior year of high school that I realized I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. To me, singing is truly human; something that everyone has and something that everyone should do. I strive to be the best person I can be so that I may inspire others to pursue what they love, whether it be musical or not.

I want to ask for your help with funding this educational opportunity. It is taking place in Savvanah, Georgia from August 3-17. All donations will go toward travel expenses, tuition, housing, and food.

Why?

I am fundraising for an amazing Young Artist Program (YAP) this coming August called the Savannah VOICE Festival. I would be playing the role of Alidoro in Micheal Ching's Cinderella's Royal Feast. Now you may ask yourself, what is a YAP? A YAP is a program for young artists to gain knowledge, experience and to create meaningful relationships with other young artists. The headline mission statement of VOICExpererience is, "To perpetuate the legacy of great singing through arts education, artist training, and audience development, with access for all." I applied to this program specifically for the training, the numerous mentors, and the support of the arts through education. With this experience, I will not only become a better singer but also a better teacher, actor, and a better person.

Here are some of my most recent singing accomplishments I cherish most:

1st Place Winner of SRU's Chad Williamson Voice Scholarship Competition (2024), after earning 2nd place in 2023

1st Place Winner in my category at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Tri-State Chapter Student Auditions (2023 & 2024)

Performed the lead role of Saint Peter in SRU's fully staged production of the opera, Too Many Sopranos (February 2025)

Participated in Pittsburgh-based company Resonance Works' production of Anna Bolena (May 2025)

Presented a successful Junior Recital (January 2025)

Upcoming: Serving as a lead teaching assistant for SRU's Gear Up Summer Voice Academy (June 2025)
