Support Noah, Rebecca, and Their Children in the Fight Against Brain Cancer

Hi, my name is Meghan, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother Noah Richardson, his amazing wife Rebecca, and their wonderful children, Sophia (14) and Liam (10), as they face the unimaginable: glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

On Labor Day, Noah was taken to the ER after experiencing confusion, weakness on his right side, and memory problems. Doctors discovered a mass deep in his brain. He was transferred to Christiana Hospital, where scans and a biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of malignant glioblastoma — a tumor too deep to remove safely.

Our family refused to give up. We pushed for a second opinion at Penn Medicine, where a top neurosurgeon immediately scheduled Noah for surgery. On Monday, September 22, he underwent a craniotomy to remove as much of the tumor as possible.

The surgery went as well as possible. But this is just the beginning.

A Family Turned Upside Down

Noah and Rebecca are deeply devoted parents. Their kids are their world, and this diagnosis has upended their lives overnight.

  • Noah is now recovering from brain surgery at UPenn and will soon begin acute inpatient rehab, followed by proton radiation and chemotherapy.
  • Rebecca has become his full-time caregiver — managing appointments, advocating for care, and trying to keep their household running.
  • Sophia and Liam are doing their best to cope, but they miss their dad, and the emotional toll is heavy.

This family is fighting cancer — but also the emotional, physical, and financial weight it brings.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Even with insurance, the costs are staggering — and Noah is unable to work. Rebecca is taking as much time off from her teaching job as possible, but the bills keep coming.

We’re asking for your support to help cover:

  • Hospital bills and inpatient rehabilitation
  • Proton radiation, chemo, and follow-up MRIs
  • In-home care, medical equipment, and recovery needs
  • Everyday expenses like groceries and gas
  • Travel to and from treatment
  • Time together as a family — without financial panic

How You Can Help

Thank you for standing with Noah, Rebecca, Sophia, and Liam. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.

With gratitude,
The Richardson Family
