Help Nneka with cancer treatment
Hi, I’m Tricia, one of Nneka’s longest friends.
As many of you know, Nneka was diagnosed with Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma almost a year ago. Since then, she started her first round of chemotherapy, just enough for them to be able to do surgery. After her surgery the plan was to start radiation and antibody therapy. After her surgery, while recovering, Nneka and her family had some deaths in the family. That being devastating enough, Nneka also received news that there was more cancer and that it did not respond well to her first round of chemotherapy. Subsequently, Nneka had to start her second round of chemotherapy. Nneka faced this hard season relying on prayers. I’m not sure how she overcame that particularly hard season but I do believe all that came to prayer for her, covered her. Nneka has had the amazing support of her parents along this journey. After her second round of chemotherapy (which I was so honored to be there for her last chemo infusion), Nneka was to “take a break” and start radiation and then onto antibody therapy. The end was in sight again for my sweet girl. She had plans to start work at the end of the month. Nneka has been getting prepared for her radiation treatment and she recently had some scans that did not have good news. They found another cancerous area of concern. Devastating, disappointing, and discouraging. Nneka now has to face further surgery with no definitive plans and her short term disability is about to run out. Let’s please come together for my girl. She means the world to me and so many others. Like I told her, it takes a village. Please donate and share. If you are unable to donate, please pray fervently. Thank you all!!
