Labas!! The New Jersey Ateitis Lithuanian Folk Dance Group, based in Elizabeth, NJ, is a student-led ensemble of young adults (ages 18–30) dedicated to preserving and celebrating Lithuanian culture through traditional dance. Founded by Jonas Covalesky, the group was created to bring together a new generation of dancers with the goal of performing at the 2026 Chicago Lithuanian Dance Festival. As a newly formed group, we rely on community support to cover essential costs such as t-shirts, registration fees, dance shoes, and other performance materials.
