Hey everyone,

As many of you know, our mom (Barbara Ann Miller-Herrera) has been courageously battling medullary thyroid cancer since her diagnosis in 2017. Despite undergoing two major surgeries, several rounds of radiation, and two chemo-targeted therapy medications, her cancer has unfortunately progressed. In 2019, it metastasized to her skull base, and now the tumor is advancing into her brain. The neurosurgeon has informed us that while surgery is an option, the tumor will grow back, and it has been increasing in size at a faster rate. The recent growth of the tumor in her brain has severely affected her health, leading to a loss of balance and strength. Eventually, it will cause a decline in her mental capacity and will lead to a coma.

Facing this difficult reality, our mother wishes to spend her remaining time at home, surrounded by her family and pets, before being transferred to hospice services. Unfortunately, she doesn't have life insurance, and the costs associated with her care and end-of-life arrangements are significant. Any donations will help cover her care costs during this time, allowing her to experience comfort and dignity during this challenging time.
