Niya is a single mother of three facing eviction after surviving domestic violence.

Niya and her kids will soon be on the streets with nowhere to go after attempting to relocate due to violence. They will be locked out of her apartment on August 14. Niya needs funds to cover moving expenses, plus first month's rent and security deposit for a new apartment. Any funds raised beyond these costs will go to feeding her three children, paying her car insurance, and putting gas in the car so she can get to and from work.

Late last year and early this year, Niya was subjected to violence by a man who repeatedly violated a stay-away order. She left the area with her children and fled to a women's shelter, only to be told the shelter would soon be closing and she would have to leave. In the mean time, her abuser was jailed, which led Niya to feel safe returning to Ithaca. But now, she is now being forced out of her apartment. Niya is challenging her eviction on every available legal front. A legal win could take months, but the eviction warrant is effective in August. Niya needs help now.
