Nivek needs our help.

Hi close family and friends.

We are hoping to raise money for Nivek to get a new puppa in her life and asking for your help.

As you all know Nivek has struggled a lot with the recent loss of her beloved miniature schnauzer Bella.

After much talk, soul searching and continued heart break, Nivek and us, as her family and friends have all concluded that she needs a new fur baby in her life STAT. It's important that Nivek has something to look forward too and a goal to work towards.

A few months ago, we went to see a wonderful ethical Breeder in Warwick. Nivek spent the day covered in miniature schnauzers and fell in love with this place, it's owners and their beautiful dogs. Nivek meet with all the mummas and some pappas and has chosen her future babies Mummy. We are all very excited by the impending arrival of these babies.

Dealing with a mental health issue is hard. Coping with the loss of your best friend is a trauma that I know we all hope we don't ever have to face. Our Nivek is. And it's hard. Most days, actually every day at the moment is a struggle.

Unfortunately, life doesn't stop, around you, when you need it to. Bills happen, and we all know there is a lot of them. The medical bills are steep and Nivek's ongoing medical bills will be significant. Over the last few months Nivek has had to take considerable time off work whilst she deals with her mental health crisis both as an inpatient and outpatient requiring a lot of extensive travel back and forth to Brisbane.

Dealing with this loss of income and knowing what debt is on hold and owing and what is to come, has made Nivek feel like she'll never be able to afford her new baby. The ongoing expenses required to support a pup through its first year of vaccinations, training, registration, worming, desexing, bedding etc, plus let’s not forget the fun things like toys, & adorable outfits etc is extensive. If you've owned a pet, you know they are expensive, add in Covid and it's a mathematical equation that just doesn't add up!

What we need to do now is secure Nivek her puppy by paying the deposit and then within those 8 weeks of baby puppies’ life, complete the payment for the remaining balance on collection. Hopefully, we'll have some left over to support this pups 1st year of life until Nivek finds her feet again.

Any amount you can spare would be hugely beneficial and greatly appreciated. If you know Nivek, you'll already know without me needing to say it that Nivek didn't want this. She doesn't want your money. She'll feel guilty and totally overwhelmed by your support. But she knows it's needed and is already beyond appreciative that you would show your love and warmth to her in this way. A lot of her family and friends have asked us how they can show their support or what can they do. This is it ♥♥♥♥

Nivek is under the guidance of a professional psychiatrist & psychologist currently. It's the consensus of these medical professionals, Nivek and her family that a new dog in her life would give her a daily purpose and nurturing role that may inspire positive experiences and meaning. Please don't think that a new dog will 'fix' Nivek. Mental Health is not 'fixed' in this way. It's a slow and long process. We hope that a new dog will bring Nivek joy. The pain and coping with the loss of losing Bella will not be diminished or lessoned by a new puppy’s arrival. We can only hope and pray that puppy kisses are a medication that soothes Niveks soul.
