Help Nita with Recovery Costs

On September 22, 2021 my mother Nita was rushed to the ER. She was complaining of dizziness, nausea, and had slurred speech. A few hours later, her sister was called by the brain surgeon and told that she had suffered from a massive hemorrhage at the base of her brain stem. A big blood clot had formed there and with her high blood pressure it burst. We were told she wouldn't survive the night. They rushed her into surgery to do what they could to save her. By some miracle she was able to pull through and survived the brain surgery. It's been a rough road of recovery so far. She was put on a ventilator and had drains in her brain for about a week. Thankfully things seem to be getting better as she's been taken off the ventilator and the drains have been removed. She's awake and able to move around but now she has come into some cognitive issues. She's suffering from some delirium. She's getting very confused and doesn't understand where she is. And is mistaking hospital staff for family members. The road ahead is uncertain but we are hopeful she will pull through to a full recovery.

 

I was uncertain of what to set the goal as as we have yet to receive a bill. But I wanted to get this going as soon as possible in case anything were to come up. I want to be as prepared as I can for the unknown. The medical bills will start to come in at some point, we will have to keep up with her other bills as well, and there may be things she needs for her rehabilitation at home. We want to be able to provide her with anything and everything she needs on this road to recovery.
