Hi, I’m raising funds for my cousin Joelle and her beloved dog, Nita.

Nita isn’t just a pet — she’s Joelle’s soul dog, her lifeline.

At just 6 years old, Nita has been Joelle’s constant companion, emotional support, and the one who pulled her through her darkest moments. When Joelle struggled with depression and thoughts of giving up, Nita was the reason she kept going.

Now, as Joelle prepares to welcome her first baby — she’s 28 weeks pregnant with a baby girl — she’s facing the heartbreak of possibly losing the one who saved her life.

On Nita’s 6th birthday, they received devastating news: Nita has lymphoma, an aggressive cancer of the lymph nodes. Without treatment, Nita has only a few weeks to live. But with chemotherapy, she could have another year or more — time to stay by Joelle’s side, meet the baby they’ve both been waiting for, and continue bringing joy as the happy, loving pup she’s always been.

Where Will the Money Go?

We are aiming to raise $15,000 to cover:

✅ Chemotherapy (quoted at $600 per treatment for 16 weeks = $9,600)

✅ Bloodwork, lab tests, and monitoring ($1,500)

✅ Supportive medications like anti-nausea and pain meds ($500)

✅ Emergency care or unexpected needs ($1,500–$2,000)

✅ GoFundMe platform fees (~3%)

Every dollar raised goes directly to Nita’s veterinary care — giving her the best chance at remission and another precious year with Joelle and their soon-to-arrive baby girl.
