Many who actively engage in social media need no introduction to Nishanka Kaushalya. She has been a prominent figure in various social and community initiatives, dedicating her time and effort to helping those in need. From organizing blood donation campaigns to supporting underprivileged children, Nishanka has always been at the forefront of meaningful social service.

As an active member of IQ and Rainbow groups, she has played a key role in distributing school supplies to children in underprivileged schools and donating books to libraries. Beyond her social work, Nishanka is also a devoted mother to two young children, aged 10 and 3.5 years.

A Life-Threatening Health Crisis

Today, Nishanka is battling a severe health crisis. Both of her kidneys have failed, and she is currently receiving treatment under the care of Dr. Udana Ratnapala and Dr Ruwan Dissanayake. Her life now depends on dialysis, which she must undergo three times a week. The only permanent solution for her survival is an urgent kidney transplant.

Fortunately, a matching kidney donor has already been identified, and doctors have strongly advised performing the transplant as soon as possible. The surgery is scheduled to take place at Durdans Hospital, and the estimated cost for the procedure is LKR 4.5 million (4,500,000). Additionally, Nishanka will require significant post-surgery care, which will further add to the financial burden.
