I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete at Monsters Dance Nationals with my Cubcakes Dance Crew this summer, but I need help raising funds for the trip.

My week will consist of training with renowned industry choreographers, competing with my team, a scholarship audition for future training, and filming a freestyle cypher on the street- and all of this happens in Brooklyn New York to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop!

The training costs along with the most bare-bones costs for travel, lodging food, and transportation in New York will be close to $4000.

I am asking if you can consider helping me be able to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train in the birthplace of hip hop.

If you know me, you know I love dance and have always trained very hard- many weeks with more than 10 hours of training or rehearsal. In addition, I take piano lessons, volunteer regularly at a local resource center for the unhoused, and maintain A+ grades in all my classes.

I am a member of the National Jr.Honor Society and have been recognized as the AVID standout scholar for my middle school which puts me in the running for a $10,000 college scholarship. I have also been accepted into a specialized high school academy program for next year.
