 ש׳, אישתו והבן המתוק שלהם בן ה6. המשפחה היפה הזו היא בין המשפחות ברות המזל שניצלנו בנס מחדירת המחבלים לקיבוץ ניר עוז. ש, החבר הכי טוב שיכולתי לבקש, שמר איתי על קשר במשך 12 שעות בזמן שהוא תפס מחסה בלב השדות של הקיבוץ בתחילת האירוע, בעוד מחבלים טרוריסטים נמצאים במרחק יריקה ממנו. הגיבור הזה לא איבד קור רוח לרגע, ודאג לעדכן אותי בכל המתרחש. במשך שעות ארוכות המתין בסבלנות ובשכל לחילוץ בזמן שאשתו והילד נמצאים בממ״ד בבית. בזמן שש’ היה בשדות, החלאות עשו פוגרום בביתם, בזזו והשחיתו את כל רכושם, והציתו את הבתים של שכניהם (כולם לצערנו ז״ל). באותה עת, אישתו שנעלה את עצמה ואת הילד בממ״ד, הייתה צריכה להיות אמיצה ורגועה מול הילד שלה בעודה שומעת את המחבלים מסתובבים בביתה. אני לא יכולה לדמיין את רגעי האימה שעברו עליה במשך שעות ארוכות. לבסוף כעבור שעות החילוץ הצבאי הגיע, והמשפחה התאחדה. אישתו היא אזרחית צרפתייה, כל מבוקשה כרגע הוא לחזור לצרפת יחד עם ש’ ובנם, ולהתאושש מהזוועות אותן עברו. לצערי, אין ידם משגת לממן את הטיסות ולהתעסק עם הבירוקרטיה הכרוכה, שכן המחבלים גנבו מהם הכל, כולל דרכונים וכרטיסי אשראי. אה, וגם את השפיות לקחו להם. ולכן, ש’ פנה אליי, עם בקשה לעזרה, (תבינו שמדובר בבנאדם שאף פעם לא מבקש עזרה בכלום! להפיך, הוא הראשון שמושיט יד לעזרה. אז אני פשוט חייבת לעזור לו במה שאני יכולה!)

Meet SV, his wife, and their adorable 6-year-old son. This incredible family is one of the fortunate few who miraculously escaped a terrorist attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz.

SV, my dearest friend, maintained contact with me for a harrowing 12 hours while seeking refuge amidst the fields of the kibbutz, mere steps away from the terrorists. Throughout this ordeal, SV displayed unwavering composure, ensuring I was kept informed of every development. Meanwhile, his wife and child sought safety in their home's shelter.

As SV remained in the fields, terrorists ransacked their home, pillaging and destroying all they held dear, while also setting ablaze the homes of their unfortunate neighbors, all of whom tragically lost their lives. During this nightmarish ordeal, SV’s wife, locked in the shelter with their child, displayed remarkable courage and composure, all the while hearing the ominous footsteps of the terrorists outside her door. The hours of fear she endured are beyond my imagination.

Regrettably, they find themselves unable to afford the flights or navigate the bureaucracy involved, as the terrorists stole everything from them, including their passports and credit cards. Not to mention their peace of mind which was also cruelly taken from them.

In their time of need, SV turned to me, a man who has never sought help for himself before. In fact, he's usually the first to lend a helping hand to others. I am determined to assist him in any way I can!
