12/31/2022 Update
Nina's stomach surgery went great. She is doing well and is on the mend. I will pick her up this evening and spend my NYE with my girl.
Thanks to everyone who continues to support this fundraiser.
Thank you doesn’t feel like it’s enough.
My heart is grateful for every one of you who keeps coming back to see how she’s doing and offering financial and emotional support.
I’m going to keep fundraising and come up with some creative ways I can give back.
12/30/2022 Update
Nina had successful surgery on her jaw yesterday. She was in great spirits and hungry as hell. Unfortunately during the night, her health took a turn. She was having trouble breathing so I took her to the vet first thing this morning. x-rays were done on her chest and there was a considerable amount of fluid around her lungs. This was worrying to the doctor so she advised me to take her to a specialist who could drain the fluid as soon as possible. We made the trek back up to Matthews where they did x-rays again, this time showing another internal issue. A stomach hernia. The hernia most likely happened during the impact and was not immediately noticeable during her first visit to the emergency vet. The vet was very honest about our options, life-saving surgery or euthanization. Knowing that this could save her life and that she still has a long life to live, I chose surgery.
I just received a call that confirmed that her blood work remains looking good and that she officially has the greenlight for surgery. Now we just wait.
Thank you to everyone who continues to send their love, donations, and resharing my gofundme link. I never thought I would be having to fundraise money to save Nina's life, but here I am with an open heart and mind. I will keep everyone updated on how the stomach surgery goes!

If I could describe Nina in three words they would be wild, sassy, and sweet.
She is known for her chattiness and love for the outdoors. Anyone who has had a chance to spend time with Nina knows that she is a truly special girl.
Last night Nina was struck by a car. Luckily I was able to get to her quickly and to an emergency vet within an hour of the incident. After some blood work and x-rays, it was concluded that she has a fractured jaw and dislocated hip. The team successfully popped her hip back into place. If her hip pops back out, she will need surgery to correct this. Because Nina's jaw was fractured in a sideways position the vet could not sew it back. She will need dental surgery where they will remove her bottom canine teeth and meld them together so she can have support in her bottom jaw again. Besides these two very scary issues, Nina is on track to make a full recovery.
I feel extremely lucky to still have my baby girl beside me this morning but the truth is what is to come is a little more than what I can handle right now. She will need various vet follow-up appointments, dental surgery along with medications to ease any pain, and if her hip does not heal properly potential hip surgery.
Nina is a strong girl and still has so much life left to live. I am confident that she will heal and make a full recovery but I need any support I can get to get her there!
I am so grateful that you are taking the time to even read this and share. Nina is the love of my life and I will do everything I can to make her comfortable and back to her badass self!
