Help Nina fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Nina is a single mom to her adorable 7-year-old daughter Precious and works from home with her online job. At just 30 years old, we received the devastating news that we would have never thought of coming to our lives. Nina was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Nina is a member of PhilHealth but does not have a private medical insurance / coverage. Our resources were poured and exhausted into the past month’s medical expenses during her 10-day hospitalization for treatment of pneumonia / Covid. We honestly admit that we will not be able to afford the intensive chemotherapy treatment but will do everything to help her fight Leukemia.

We truly understand that it is a very tough and challenging time for everybody, everywhere, but we have faith that we have family, friends, and kind-hearted people out there who would support us emotionally, offer their prayers of strength and healing, and assist us financially as we go through this difficult time.

We are beyond grateful for your help in Nina's battle against Leukemia. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

History:
October 8, 2021: Nina was admitted to Laguna Holy Family Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Philippines. Diagnosis upon admission was Anemia / Pneumonia with negative Covid PCR test. She was treated for her extremely low red blood cells with blood A+ transfusions.

October 12, 2021: Nina tested positive for Covid-19 and was immediately treated for that too with six doses of Remdesivir worth Php8,200 ($205 CAD), administered one each day. Her Hematologist’s impression on her blood test results is, unfortunately, leukemia and ordered for Bone Marrow Biopsy soon after her isolation ends.

October 29, 2021: Bone Marrow Biopsy was performed at HealthServ, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines.

November 9, 2021: Follow-up check up with Hematologist. Bone Marrow Biopsy confirms that Nina has Acute Myeloid Leukemia and would need to go under induced chemotherapy immediately. A week of chemotherapy and she would need to stay in the hospital for three more weeks for the expected complications thereafter.
