This is not a position any of us want to be in. I have always been the strong woman who helped others, and it’s humbling that I now need help with medical bills as I have been diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. Since the beginning of the year, I have paid for my health deductibles for bloodwork, diagnostic tests, and MRIs. Funny how, when we retire, we think we have set back enough to live out the remainder of our lives, and then something like this happens and you realize that one is never really prepared.

Now, I am facing the reality of ongoing medical expenses for testing, surgery, and doctor bills. I am a fighter and determined to get through this rough patch, but I can’t do it alone. I am hoping that there are people out there who can donate just a few dollars so I can pay my share of these costs moving forward.
