For years, I have been working toward getting top surgery, a journey that has been filled with setbacks and challenges. About two years ago, I had a surgery date scheduled, but due to changes in my insurance and other personal hardships—including a tragic accident, housing instability, and the loss of a family member—my plans were put on hold. These events have not only delayed my surgery but have also taken a toll on my mental health, leaving me feeling deeply saddened and at a loss. Despite these obstacles, I am determined to move forward and finally have the surgery that will allow me to express who I truly am and feel confident in my body.

This fundraiser will help me cover the costs during my recovery, including bills, rent, food, gas, medical supplies, and appointments. It will also support my partner, who will be assisting me with daily activities and caring for our dog during this vulnerable time. Unfortunately, short-term disability does not cover gender-affirming surgeries, and many companies still consider them "cosmetic" or "not medically necessary." I have tried to advocate for myself, but the process has been discouraging/denied. Your support will help ease the financial burden and allow me to focus on healing and learning to love my body.
