Help Niko and His Mom During His Heart Surgery & Recovery
Our family is facing something no parent ever wants to experience. My nephew Niko is a sweet, smart 2-year-old who has recently been diagnosed with a serious congenital heart defect called Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR). This means that the veins bringing oxygenated blood from his lungs aren’t connected to his heart the way they should be, and he will need open-heart surgery to correct it.
He’s been in the children’s hospital since Friday, and his surgery will be this Tuesday, the 7th. He will need to stay in the hospital for weeks after surgery so the medical team can monitor his recovery closely.
His mom, Hope, has been by his side day and night. She doesn’t have a working vehicle and currently has no income. She also has three other children at home who are being cared for by their dad while she stays at the hospital.
We’re raising funds to help cover food, lodging, transportation, and basic expenses so she can stay focused on her son’s recovery without worrying about how to make ends meet.
Donations will go toward:
• Food and daily expenses while she stays at the hospital
• Lodging or transportation if she needs to stay nearby but not on the hospital campus
• Basic bills and support for her other children during this period
• Any other urgent needs that come up while she focuses fully on Niko’s recovery.
Every little bit helps—whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this fundraiser to spread the word. ❤️
Please keep Niko and our family in your prayers as he prepares for this life-saving surgery. Thank you for your kindness, support, and love during this incredibly challenging time.
