I’ve recently had an appointment with a surgeon, and after a long process both medical and personal hurdles, I’m finally in a position to get an orchiectomy!

This procedure is incredibly important to me, and it represents an opportunity to feel more in line with who I am, to feel more at peace with my body. The relief from this procedure would be a huge balm to my mental and physical health. Recently, I lost access to my anti-androgens, which is massive part of my hormone replacement therapy. It was a scary moment, having to physically de-transition, and feeling that equilibrium of my mind and body fall apart. Luckily, I’ve managed get back on them, although my access to them is a bit tenuous, and unfortunately quite expensive. Getting an orchiectomy would allow me to be less reliant on the medical system, it would allow me to stop taking anti androgens, it would allow me to grow and develop in the way that I deserve to. Suffering from dysphoria is never fun, neither is having to ask for help, but would be huge step in the right direction for me.

The amount that I'm asking for would cover surgery, as well as hospital stay and recovery costs (including necessary followup appointments).

All I need to do to make this a reality is simply raise enough funds, and then book an appointment with the surgeon. The waitlist currently sits at one month, which is incredibly accessible, and very exciting! Any amount that you can give is going to be an enormous help, and if you’re strapped for cash (I know the struggle!), then even just sharing this post, getting it out there, would mean so much to me.
