Help Nikki Stay and Serve the Pocatello Community

We, the members of the PA cohort at Idaho State University are writing to request your assistance. One of our dedicated and hardworking fellow students, Nikki, is facing financial difficulties that are jeopardizing her ability to continue her education. We have all witnessed Nikki's unwavering commitment and passion for becoming a Physician Assistant, and her dedication to serving the community of Pocatello.

Nikki has volunteered much of her time in Idaho as an EMT and firefighter. It would be a tremendous loss for both our cohort and the healthcare community if she was unable to complete her studies. She had a plan to cover tuition, but as most of us have experienced, life brought unexpected changes that left her unable to cover future semesters. Many of our cohort are donating to help her with her tuition, but it's still not enough. Every penny you donate will go directly toward her ability to complete the Physician Assistant program. Here is her story:

Hey there friends, family, and fellow supporters.

I'm reaching out today to share a big dream of mine and to ask for your help in making it come true. I'm the only member of my family living here in the United States while the rest are back in Germany. Over the past five years, I've had the incredible opportunity to call Idaho my home, and I've been actively involved in volunteering as a firefighter/EMT for most of that time.

These experiences have shaped my passion for the medical field and fueled my desire to become a Physician Assistant (PA). However, life threw me a curveball this semester and I won't be able to pay for tuition any longer. Being an international student on a student visa, I'm not allowed to work in the US, and I can't apply for federal student loans.

The urgency of the situation can't be overstated. Without your support, I may be forced to leave the country, leaving behind the life I've built and the people I've come to care deeply about in Idaho. I've fought incredibly hard to make it this far, but I finally had to learn that I won't be successful without your help.

Your generosity can be the lifeline that keeps me from having to give up on my American dream, to stay here in Idaho and continue to serve its people. Every dollar you contribute will bring me one step closer to completing my education and fulfilling my calling in the medical field, all while remaining in the place I've grown to love.
