On June 11, 2021, our family received devastating news that my sister had been rushed to the emergency and that they believed she had suffered an aneurysm due to the blood on her brain. She was transferred to Barrows Neuro Institute immediately. Due to the fast actions of her husband, Pat, the first responders at Gilbert Fire/Rescue A shift station 11, Nicole is still with us.

Nicole is such an inspiration to not only me, but my family, friends and colleagues. She is always the first to help in any way, lend a sympathetic ear, a ride, whatever it may be. She has always been a fighter and I know she will fight this with her never-ending moxie. Being in the ICU at the Neuro Institute for a minimum of 7 days, after she is discharged is worrisome for her and this is THE LAST thing I want my sister and brother to worry about at this time. She just needs to heal and come back as strong as she was and be the amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend we all know and love immensely.
