I am making this GoFundMe for Nikki who has been battling w/ what we believe is breast implant illness. She got her breast augmentation about 9 years ago and never thought it would effect her health the way it has. If you know her you you know she has been fighting with an invisible illness that just seems to be getting worse. Her symptoms first started off with dizziness about 5/6 years ago that made her feel like she needed to sit down or she was going to pass out. As months went on the dizziness persisted and was accompanied by a pressure in between her eyes and by her temples.(she describes it like having a head cold 24/7) Years went on symptoms have gotten worse and tests such as CT scans, blood work, ENT, heart tests and more were done. Everything came back normal and she was constantly being told she was fine and she might just suffer from migraines. No medicine seemed to help and she knew it wasn’t just migraines. It has gotten to the point where all she feels comfortable doing is resting at home(she can sleep for hours) and going to work(it’s her safe place she knows she can leave it she needs to) Her anxiety has been extreme to the point where she feels as if she is going to have some sort of seizure or pass out. She doesn’t feel comfortable working out anymore, she can barley go to a store without feeling extreme anxiety and dizziness. She has gone to Urgent care and the emergency room multiple times where they just send her home saying everything is normal. She finally came to the conclusion that it must be her breast implants that are making her sick. It is now more common & a more researched illness that has thousands of women experiencing the same thing. Because it is so hard to diagnose it is hard to get the removal covered by Insurance.
